Dr. Deryck J. Hunte is a man of vision. After his conversion from Hinduism, he accepted Christ at Mt. Gilead MBC and stayed under the leadership of Pastor Larry J. Randle for 7 years. Two years after his conversion he received the call from God to preach the Word of God. He has served in the body of Christ as a Youth Minister, Sunday School Teacher, Outreach Minister, New Member Orientation Minister and Technology Trainer. In 2008, he graduated from Faith Seminary with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Religion he also has his Doctorate of Ministry from St.Thomas Christian College.
He founded and is Pastor of The Vision Church in Pearland, TX and under his leadership in 10 years he:
- Developed a Web Design and Marketing company, Visionnet to help the body of Christ by designing church websites and creating marketing materials using modern technology to further the spread of the Gospel.
- Trains Ministry Leaders and Pastors (150+ to date) in the use of technology to study the Bible through TEB SEMINARY, a school he started 10 years ago and serves as President / Founder which has grown to include three satellite schools at Smyrna Baptist Church, Greater Pure Light Church, St. Matthew Baptist Church in Houston, New Harvest Christian Fellowship Pearland.
- Expanded the TEB Seminary by adding degree programs and many certification courses to include Christian Counseling Certification, Bible Study Methods, Sunday School Teacher Certification, and Associate Preacher Certification.
- Established and teaches God’s Extraordinary Women, Men’s “Real Men Real Talk” and Kingdom Connection Bible Study.
- Started the Larry J. Randle Scholarship Fund to assist our college-bound young adults with their educational needs.
- Implemented the Financial Freedom Initiative which enabled the church to move to its own free standing building.
- Established the Vision Church Prayer Line.
- Developed The Exchanged Life Summer Camp program and curriculum for our youth.
- Serves as an Evangelism and Church Growth trainer. Also, developed the Evangelism & Church Growth Training Curriculum used in his training and seminars.
- Re-established the Outreach Ministry in April 2010 which has ministered to over 100+ people with many of them being led to Christ and to join our church.
- Launched our new Sunday School program to include all ages.
- Began the Serving Our Seasoned Saints (S.O.S.S) Ministry to ensure that our senior members are able to fellowship in the comfort of their homes when they are not able to come to the church.
- Started and runs Eternity Network Radio station which reaches around the world spreading the Gospel with dynamic and world-renown Pastors 24/7 via the Internet. It currently has 100,000 faithful listeners.
- Began global mission work by ministering to Pastor Babu’s church in India
- Started and oversees the Vision Lawn Care Services to employ and assist the community & church members with developing work and life skills so that they are able to transition into gainful permanent employment.

He is a man that wants to give back to body of Christ, all that God has given him and he wants to equip believers to grow in Christ. He has been married for 21 years to his wonderful wife Valencia Hunte and is the proud father of three daughters Aliyah, Y’dari and Faith’e Hunte.
